Webread is a command that allows accepting inputs from the user. The syntax in using read command is: read . For example, we will create a script that will allow a user to enter his first and last names and display them. To let the user know what to do, we show a user prompt with the echo command. Webawk (will output argument and second and third column of file input data) #!/bin/bash echo $1 awk '{print $2" "$3}' and so on. You can use sed, cut and many other unix utilities like in examples.
