Recording Kings are great guitars on their own merits, and not just because they look like Martins. In the price range you mentioned, I'd also check out a used Eastman. Every Eastman I've played sounds GREAT.

WebOct 19, 2024 · I found the Blueridge for $300 and spent $275 getting a Plek setup with bone nut and saddle and an installed LR Baggs Element. Now, 12 years later, it is a super sweet guitar. The tone is mellow and intimate. Perfect for fingerpicking, although big hands would be slightly cramped.
